Reconnecting a device

If a terminal loses its connection to VenueScan (for example after a software issue or network interruption), you can reconnect it from the dashboard without losing any queued sign-ins.

When to reconnect

The terminal will display a reconnect screen if its session with VenueScan has expired or been interrupted. Queued sign-ins are preserved and will sync automatically once the device is reconnected.

Reconnect a device

  1. Go to dashboard.venuescan.com.au .
  2. Choose Terminal in the left sidebar, then click the Devices tab.
  3. Click the menu next to the device and choose Reconnect.
  4. A code will appear, for example MVPAPZ4K. The code expires in 15 minutes.
  5. On the terminal’s reconnect screen, type the code from the dashboard.

The terminal reconnects immediately and any queued sign-ins sync automatically.
