Reconnecting a device
If a terminal loses its connection to VenueScan (for example after a software issue or network interruption), you can reconnect it from the dashboard without losing any queued sign-ins.
When to reconnect
The terminal will display a reconnect screen if its session with VenueScan has expired or been interrupted. Queued sign-ins are preserved and will sync automatically once the device is reconnected.
Reconnect a device
- Go to dashboard.venuescan.com.au .
- Choose Terminal in the left sidebar, then click the Devices tab.
- Click the ⋮ menu next to the device and choose Reconnect.
- A code will appear, for example
MVPAPZ4K. The code expires in 15 minutes. - On the terminal’s reconnect screen, type the code from the dashboard.
The terminal reconnects immediately and any queued sign-ins sync automatically.
