Data collected

The data recorded for each sign-in depends on the sign-in method used.

Member sign-in

• Member number or member name
• Entry time

Visitor sign-in

Manual entry

• Full name
• Address
• Signature
• Entry time

Physical ID scanned

By default, the following fields are collected:

• Full name
• Address
• Date of birth
• Photo of face (from ID)
• Signature
• Entry time

The expiry date is extracted from the ID to validate it but is not recorded. No photos of the ID itself are ever stored or transmitted. The ID is read locally on the device only.

Digital ID scanned

• Full name
• Address
• Signature
• Entry time

Date of birth and photo of face are optional and can be disabled if your venue does not want to store them.

If Store date of birth is disabled, the date of birth is still read from the ID to check the patron is over 18, but it is not saved with the entry.

Disable date of birth or photo of face

1. Go to dashboard.venuescan.com.au .
2. Choose Terminal in the left sidebar.
3. Click the Settings tab.
4. Under General, toggle off Store date of birth or Store photo of face.
