How it works

When a visitor scans a QR code, they are taken to a sign-in screen where they enter their first name, last name, and address, then press Continue.

On the next screen, they draw their signature and press Sign In. The sign-in is then recorded and appears in your dashboard.

Bans and self-exclusions

QR code sign-in does not prevent banned or self-excluded patrons from signing in. This is by design. For privacy reasons, the QR code sign-in form does not perform any identity verification or cross-check against your venue’s ban or self-exclusion lists.

Venues that are required to actively enforce bans or self-exclusions are recommended to use the VenueScan Terminal, which performs ID verification and automatically flags banned and self-excluded patrons at the point of entry.

Sign-in confirmation

Once a visitor successfully signs in, returning to the QR code link will show their sign-in confirmation rather than the sign-in form. This confirmation is displayed until 4am the following day, after which they can sign in again.
